Screen Notes from the Mexico Retreat with Lama Zopa Rinpoche, September 2015

To get the screen notes that were typed at the Mexico retreat with Lama Zopa Rinpoche, go to this folder:

The notes from all sessions, all teachers, have been combined, totalling 157 pages. You can save either the PDF or the Word DOCX file.

Other resources, such as the Bodhicitta Mindfulness list will be there, too.

Update: I added a file with the notes typed into the Daily Meditation, including Blessing the Speech, from when Rinpoche gave the lung (oral transmission). Click on the same link above and you'll see all the files.

Caution: The screen notes are not a transcript. Sometimes things were missed because of not understanding, Rinpoche speaking very quickly, other things interrupting the typing, or the typist's fatigue. Also, we were just typing notes for the audience; we weren't trying to get every word.

In addition to Lama Zopa Rinpoche's talks, there were also sessions by Venerable Steve Carlier (the retreat leader), and Venerable René Feusi and Venerable Sarah Thresher.

A bit of irony: Rinpoche responds to a question about children and technology, picture taken with iPhone, while Ven. Sarah types notes on a computer, being projected onto a screen, and then, of course, uploaded to this blog.

Screen notes were typed by Gelongma Losang Drimay for the convenience of the retreat participants. The typist claims responsibility for all mistakes. Ven Sarah Thresher and Ven Amy Miller assisted with some of the typing.

In addition to the sessions noted here, Venerable Steve Carlier led the morning practice sessions from 6:00 to 7:45am. In general the other sessions were from 10am to 1:15 (with a break), 4pm to 6:15, and 8pm to 10 or 10:30pm. The final session of the retreat went to 4am.

A list of the sessions and their leaders is included at the beginning of the Screen Notes file.
This retreat was organized by Khamlungpa Center, Guadalajara, with the help of the FPMT Mexico Region. It was held at a retreat center called Casa de Ejercicios Espirituales de Puente Grande, about 1 hour outside of Guadalajara. The retreat was attended by approximately 300 people. Venerable Paloma Alba of Spain, and other helpers, provided simultaneous interpretation into Spanish.
